Went old school on a dent pull today and the glue let go at the worst moment
I decided to try a cheap Harbor Freight glue puller on a 2012 F-150 door ding instead of my usual stud welder. The glue popped off and sent the tab flying right into my coffee mug, shattered it all over the floor. Took me two hours to clean up and I still had to weld the dent out anyway. Has anyone else had bad luck with those cheaper glue kits on thicker gauge metal?

Those cheap glue tabs are meant for thinner metal, not truck doors.

Read the instructions and actually thought my truck door would just cooperate like a good little passenger, lol. Nope, those tabs flew off before I even finished slapping them on, ended up chasing one across the parking lot. I guess they figure if your door's heavy enough to need a real magnet, you should've just bought the proper ones in the first place. Lesson learned, my wallet is a little lighter and my truck is still undecorated.
