Watched a buddy's frame machine pull a unibody 3 inches in 2 minutes flat
I've been doing collision work out of my home garage for about 4 years now, mostly small stuff like bumpers and quarter panels. Last week I went over to a shop in Lancaster to help a friend with a 2015 Civic that had a front end shunt. He's got a real frame rack, not one of those portable pullers. I was just standing there watching him set up the chains and pull points, and then he hit the button. In under 2 minutes that whole front rail section slid back into place like it was always supposed to be there. I've been fighting with a similar repair on a Ford Focus in my own shop using a come-along and a tree in my yard. Took me 3 afternoons and it still looks off. Has anyone else run into this situation where borrowing time on a real machine totally changed how fast you could fix something?

@seanjohnson right, once you see a real rack work it just hits different and makes you rethink everything lol.

Man that's totally how it goes, once you see the right tool do its thing it makes you realize how much time we waste just trying to brute force stuff. It's like that with everything - life just works smoother when you stop fighting the grain of it lol.
