Warning: found out my clear coat job voids if I sand past 600 grit, and the rep showed me the line in the sheet
So I was at a PPG training in Columbus back in March and the rep pulled up their tech sheet on the screen, and right there it says warranty is void if you finish sand past 600 grit before sealer. I have been hitting 800 on some panels for years thinking it gave me a smoother base, and nobody at the shop ever said a word about it. Has anyone else run into this on their brand's sheet, or is it just a PPG thing?
