Vent: Blew $400 on a cheap paint booth setup that ruined two jobs
I thought I was being smart by buying a portable paint booth kit off Facebook Marketplace for $400. Set it up in my garage in Lincoln and the filters were a JOKE, barely caught any overspray. Ruined a pearl white Honda hood and a quarter panel on a Chevy with dust nibs I couldn't buff out. Anyone else have luck with those DIY booths or should I just save for a real spray booth?

Wait, only four hundred bucks? That's insane, I paid almost twice that for a DIY tent from a local auto paint store and it still had junk filters that clogged after one use. Did you at least try to take it apart and see if the filter frame had any specs on it, or was it just a piece of foam? Sounds like someone sold you a glorified carport with a fan, I would have been livid.
