Stuck a wet sponge in my sandpaper drawer and it saved me $60
I kept getting clogged paper from that sticky green primer dust and was burning through 80 grit sheets every couple of hoods. A guy at the parts counter in Tulsa told me to toss a damp sponge in the drawer overnight, just enough to keep the paper from drying out, and I got a full week out of a sleeve. Anyone else do this or am I just late to the party?
That parts counter guy in Tulsa was onto something, I started doing it with two sponges in a sealed ziploc so the rust never gets to my good paper. Keeps 80 grit cutting way past where it used to gum up.
