My old shop mentor in Dayton said never to trust a used frame machine, and 8 months later I ate crow
He told me back in 2019 that a $3,500 frame rack off Craigslist would cost me double in calibration and downtime, and sure enough the thing was out of spec by 4mm and sat useless for 6 weeks while I hunted parts, so now I'm wondering if anyone's had luck with a rebuilt unit or if I should just finance new.

Mentor was right for a reason. Rebuilt beats new if the shop has a warranty, otherwise just finance it and sleep better.
