Just spent $250 on a new sanding block and it was a total game changer
Got the Dura-Block kit with the different shaped pads. Used it on a tricky quarter panel curve yesterday. The soft pad let me follow the contour perfectly without cutting through. Anyone else have a favorite tool for weird body lines?

My $10 harbor freight block does the same thing honestly. I mean I get wanting a nice tool but $250 for a sanding block seems like a lot when you can get close enough results with cheaper stuff. @wright.luna's foam pipe trick is basically the same idea for like a dollar. Maybe it's just me but I've never had a problem with body lines that made me need a special sanding block.

Soft blocks are a lifesaver for that. I keep a worn-out piece of foam pipe insulation in my kit for the same reason, costs nothing and works on crazy tight curves.

Honestly, a piece of old inner tube rubber works shockingly well for that. It molds to any shape and you can cut it to any size.
