Just realized I threw away $200 on a cheap infrared paint curing lamp

Bought one online for a rush job on a fender, and the thing couldn't even get the clear coat to tack up properly after 20 minutes. Ended up having to re-sand and re-spray the whole panel, which cost me the profit on that job. Anyone have a solid brand they actually trust for this kind of gear?

Ever check the bulb's actual wattage before you bought it?

Yeah, that reflector point from logansmith is huge, and I've been burned by the wattage lie too.

My buddy runs a body shop and he swears the real issue is the reflector shape... cheap ones just scatter the heat. Like verap52 said about wattage, but also where it's aimed. He got a used Snap-on unit off a tool truck for half price and it actually focuses the beam.
