Just changed my mind about those cheap sanding blocks from Harbor Freight
Had a job on a 2017 F-150 bed side last Thursday that was full of deep scratches. Grabbed one of those orange foam blocks because I was in a rush. Ended up spending an extra hour fixing the wavy mess it left behind, the foam just collapsed under pressure. Switched back to my usual 3M block and got it flat in two passes. Anyone else find those bargain blocks just don't hold up on real bodywork?

My cousin tried to save money on drywall sanding sponges from a dollar store last year. He ended up with this weird, gritty texture on every seam because the abrasive just rubbed right off. Had to go over everything again with a proper sanding screen. Sometimes the cheap stuff just costs you more time in the end.

Ever notice how dollar store tools are basically just props? Like that sanding sponge was probably just a regular sponge with some craft glitter glued on. Your cousin basically paid a dollar to sprinkle disappointment dust all over his walls. At that point, you might as well just use a rough rock from the backyard.
