Hot take: you don't need a $5,000 paint booth to do quality work. Last month I finished a full respray on a 2018 Ford F-150 out of my buddy's garage in Phoenix with a $300 setup and it came out smooth as glass.

@juliahall tell me about it, I did a cab-over camper in Texas last August and the paint was flashing off before I could even get a second coat down. Had to mist everything on super light and practically run back and forth. But the $300 gun from Harbor Freight actually did the job, just took a lot of patience and a cooler full of ice water nearby. That Phoenix heat has to be brutal for keeping the surface temp right though.
