Hit 500 spot repairs in one month and it shook me
I've been doing body work out of my garage near Greenville for about 3 years now, mostly small dents and scratches. Last month I counted my repair tickets and hit 500, which seemed crazy high to me for a one-man operation. Has anyone else been surprised by their volume numbers after trying a new system or tool?

Ha, @zara_hill46's got a point, that's insane volume for a solo gig! A buddy of mine tried one of those new fancy sanding disks last year and ended up doing so many jobs he forgot his own kid's birthday. Numbers can creep up on you fast when your process gets smoother, but 500 is a whole other level of wild.

That many jobs solo and you'd burn out fast no matter how good the system is. Gotta track your hours per repair and know your real limit before you take on more work than you can handle. A buddy of mine used to take everything that came in until he realized he was averaging 3 hours of sleep and his quality dropped bad. Better to raise your prices to slow the flow than to ruin your reputation rushing through a mountain of work.

Dude are you even sleeping? 500 solo repairs in a month sounds less like a new system working and more like you accidentally invented a time machine in your garage.
