Guy at the supply shop said my primer was too cold, and the thermometer backed him up
Stopped by the paint supply shop on 5th last Tuesday and the counter guy asked what temp my booth was running. I told him about 60 and he said my primer was probably flashing too slow and that's why I kept getting solvent pop on that Camry bumper. I grabbed a $12 infrared thermometer and sure enough, the panel was reading 58 while my gun was set for 70 degree material. Warmed the booth up to 72 and the next coat laid down glass smooth. Anyone else check panel temp before spraying or am I late to this?
