Fishtailed a bumper job on a 2021 Silverado and now I'm eating $460
Had a 2021 Silverado in the booth Tuesday morning and rushed the clear coat because I wanted to make my kid's game at 6. Shot it too wet and got two runs on the passenger quarter that I had to wet sand back down, then re-cleared the whole panel. Owner picked it up Thursday and spotted the shade difference in direct sun, so now the shop is eating $460 in materials and a free recoat. Anybody else fight the urge to rush a booth cycle when life's yelling at you, or is that just me being stubborn about my process?
