Vent: The 3,000 sq ft minimum crowd in Alpharetta has it backwards
Every neighbor on my street in Alpharetta keeps saying you need at least 3,000 sq ft to raise a family, but we raised two kids in 1,800 sq ft for 9 years and the only thing we ever ran out of was hallway to avoid each other, so can someone please explain why my friends are paying $180,000 more for rooms nobody walks into?
Did you ever figure out where that extra $180k actually goes? We looked at bigger houses too and the math never made sense once you add up higher taxes, extra furniture, and heating rooms you never use. Put that money in a college fund instead, your kids will thank you way more than a bonus room.
