The money I put into that battery-powered lawn mower 3 years ago still stings
I paid $450 for a fancy electric mower back in 2020 thinking it would save me on gas and maintenance. After it died mid-season last summer and the replacement battery cost more than half the original price, I went back to a $200 gas model from Home Depot. Has anyone else thrown good money after bad on lawn equipment in the suburbs?

What kind of grass do you have that makes you think any mower is gonna last more than a few seasons without breaking your bank? I bought a used push mower from a guy on Facebook for 40 bucks, and it's been sputtering along for two years now. I just fixed the carburetor with some YouTube videos and half a can of beer. Modern lawn equipment is all built to die, no matter how much you pay for it.

Is it just me or does everything these days kinda give you that "well I guess I'm buying another one" feeling? It's like the whole "buy it for life" thing is dead and buried, whether it's a mower or a toaster.
