That advice about grading before buying a house was dead on
My dad told me to walk the yard after a heavy rain before putting in an offer on a place in Marietta, and I blew it off because the inside was perfect. Three weeks in, water pooled against the foundation and seeped into the crawlspace, cost me $2,800 for a french drain install. Has anyone else skipped a basic outside check and regretted it later?
