HVAC coil cleaner stripped my paint and the warranty fine print buried me

I was doing my seasonal cleaning on the condenser unit last Saturday and used a foaming coil cleaner from the hardware store, the one that says safe on aluminum. Turns out the overspray hit my brand new vinyl siding near the unit and left these weird cloudy streaks that won't wash off. My neighbor who used to do HVAC installs said that stuff is basically caustic and you're supposed to rinse it within like 2 minutes, which the bottle never said clearly. He also pointed out that most compressor warranties specifically exclude damage from chemical cleaners, I found that in the 12-page manual I tossed in the recycling bin months ago. So now I'm looking at a $300 repaint of that siding section and possibly a voided warranty if the coil ever fails. Has anyone else dealt with chemical staining from routine AC maintenance or found a cleaner that actually evaporates safe?
