DAE have their whole yard plan changed by one trip to the Alpharetta Home Depot?
I went in for a $4 bag of grass seed and walked out with a whole new plan for my front slope. A lady in the garden aisle had photos on her phone of her yard in Roswell that flooded every storm, and she showed me how she fixed it with a simple rain garden instead of paying a landscaper. I stood there for 20 minutes asking her questions and she drew a rough sketch on the back of my receipt. Came home and dug out a shallow bed along the low spot by my driveway, and it held up through that big rain two weeks ago. Has anyone else done a rain garden out here, and did yours need any special dirt mix?

My neighbor in Marietta used a 60/40 mix of topsoil and compost for hers.
