A contractor in Marietta told me my gutters were the reason my foundation was cracking, and he was right
We noticed a hairline crack in the garage slab about 5 inches long and I figured it was just normal settling for a 22 year old house. Got three bids and the guy from Marietta pointed at my downspouts dumping water right at the corner instead of running it out past the beds. He said "you're watering your own foundation every time it rains" and quoted $480 to add extensions and regrade. I did the extensions myself for $60 and the crack hasn't grown in 4 months. Anyone else had a cheap fix save them from a $9k pier job?
