Tried stacking frames for a nebula photo and got a mess instead

I spent about 3 hours last Saturday shooting the Orion Nebula with my old DSLR and a cheap tracking mount. Stacked 120 frames in DeepSkyStacker like the tutorials say, but the final image came out with weird green halos around every star. I figured out later it was because my darks and flats were taken at the wrong temperature, like 15 degrees off from the lights. Now I gotta reshoot everything when the weather clears up, which might be weeks. Anyone else had stacking go wrong from something dumb like calibration frames?

Yeah swapping the order of my calibration frames fixed the same issue for me.

A warm sky and a cooler camera did the same thing to me once.
