That one tip about stacking photos completely changed my results
My buddy Dave who does deep sky stuff kept telling me to shoot way more frames than I thought I needed, like 60 instead of 15. I finally tried it on the Orion Nebula last week with my entry level DSLR and the noise just melted away, the detail blew me away. Has anyone else gotten a piece of advice that sounded crazy but actually worked?

Sympathize with that struggle completely, man. I spent months shooting like 20 frames of Andromeda and wondering why my stack looked like static soup, then someone finally told me the same thing as your buddy Dave. Trying 80 frames felt ridiculous and wasteful at first, but the difference was so obvious that I felt dumb for not trusting the advice sooner.
