Spent 45 minutes trying to focus my telescope last night before realizing the lens cap was still on
I was out in my backyard in Phoenix getting frustrated with a blurry Jupiter when my neighbor walked over and pointed at the front of the scope. Has anyone else had a dumb moment like that where you just skipped the obvious check?

Classic move, done the same thing with my car's backup camera.

Notice how many things these days just have some hidden feature or button that nobody tells you about. It's honestly everywhere now, from cars to phones to kitchen appliances. Ngl, I think manufacturers just assume we'll figure it out eventually or read the manual, which nobody does.

Had the exact same moment with the rearview cam in my truck. Bought it used and spent a solid week thinking the screen was busted because it wouldn't turn on. Finally stumbled on the little button near the mirror that toggles it on and off. Felt pretty dumb but man, stuff like that is so easy to overlook when you're not the one who installed it. Did you ever find any other hidden switches or settings in your car that took you way too long to figure out?
