Question about that one week in March when the sky gave me 5 clear nights in a row
I live outside Reno and normally I get maybe two decent nights a month between the clouds and the light pollution, so when the forecast showed 5 clear nights straight back in March I cleared my whole schedule. First night I got M42 with almost no noise, second night the seeing was so steady I pulled detail on Jupiter I had never seen before at 200x. By the fifth night I was so tired I fell asleep at the eyepiece and woke up at 3am with dew all over everything. Now I am chasing that week every month and it has not happened since. Does anyone else get one of those runs or is it just dumb luck?
