My uncle told me to ditch the zoom lens for the Orion Nebula and just use my 50mm prime.

I thought he was nuts, but stacking 200 shots from my old Canon Rebel last winter gave me way more detail in the gas clouds than my zoom ever did.

My old 85mm lens on a tracker gave me the Horsehead Nebula last year, same deal. It's all about that total light capture.

Stacking wide shots is a game changer for real.

I mean, what's your stacking process look like? I always struggle with blending them.
