My neighbor Deb said my astro photos look fake

She pointed at my stacked Andromeda shot and said the colors don't look like that in real life. Made me wonder if all this processing is just lying to ourselves, how much color tweaking do you guys do before you feel like you're overselling it?

Deb's got a point honestly. If you're adding colors that aren't actually there from the start, it's more like digital painting than photography.

Did you catch that documentary on Netflix about photo manipulation, @maryh96? It's interesting how the line keeps blurring between raw captures and edited art.
