Honestly, dying at 2 AM on a mountain sounds like a core memory. Tbh that's the real astro experience right there, fighting your gear. Ngl, if the battery never died you'd just have perfect data and a boring story. The struggle is what makes it feel like a real mission, not just another night in the backyard. You'll remember that busted night way more than the easy ones.

Right? Isn't that how it always goes? My mount gave out during a perfect seeing night last month. You just have to laugh or you'll cry.
