Changed my whole stacking process after a cloudy night at Mt. Pinos
Used to just stack deep-sky frames in DSS with default settings, getting noisy results every time. Last month I switched to PI's weighted batch preprocessing and finally pulled out the faint dust lanes in M31 that were always buried. Anyone else notice a big jump moving from free stacking software to something more hands-on?

Redid about fifty hours of old data. Worth it though.
