TIL that the most common question ever asked on the internet is 'What is the meaning of life?'
I was reading an article about search engine data from a few years back, and it cited a study that tracked the most typed questions. That one came out on top by a huge margin. Kind of wild that with all the 'how to fix a leaky faucet' and 'best pizza near me' queries, that's the one we all apparently type into Google at 2 AM. Has anyone else ever actually googled that, or is the data just counting a bunch of bored philosophy students?

Yeah, the "2 AM" part is what got me. I mean, I've totally done it. Not as a student, just in a regular bad week. It's less a real question and more like typing a sigh into a search bar. The data makes sense because it's not about finding an answer. It's about the mood.

The fact it spikes at 2 AM is the real gut punch. That's not a search for help, it's pure despair when the house is quiet. I can't imagine typing that and just staring at the results.

Wait, you've actually done that search? (Honestly, that's kind of amazing.)
