Switched to a mechanical keyboard after years of membrane and I get the hype now

I always thought mechanical keyboards were just overpriced clicky toys for gamers until I borrowed my friend's Ducky One for a week of coding. The different switches actually feel WAY better for typing than my old Logitech, like each keypress has a clear stop point. Anyone else made the switch and noticed a big difference in your daily setup?

Did you always think they were just a gamer thing too? I used to roll my eyes at friends who swore by them, figured it was all hype.
