Spent 6 hours tracking down a weird noise in my own car

I was driving home last week and my Honda started making this clunking sound from the front right wheel. I had it up on jack stands in my shop for like three hours, checked the ball joints, tie rods, control arm bushings, everything looked fine. Turned out it was just a loose lug nut that I must have forgotten to tighten after rotating the tires two weeks ago. Took me from 5pm until almost midnight to figure out a problem that took 30 seconds to fix. Has anyone else ever spent way too long on something that simple?

Hold on man, is a loose lug nut really that big of a deal? I mean, yeah it makes a racket, but the wheel isn't gonna fly off over a 60 mile drive home. I've seen guys drive on 3 out of 4 for weeks. Feels like you worked yourself up over nothing.
