Remember when you could just walk into a bank and talk to a person?
I was at the Chase branch in downtown Raleigh last week trying to sort out a simple account issue. They pointed me to a iPad kiosk and a video call with someone in a call center three states away. I stood there for 15 minutes typing in my info while a screen told me to wait. Has anyone else had a bank insist you use their app for something that used to take a two minute chat with a teller?

I see it differently since my local credit union still has actual tellers and I just walked in last week to fix an issue in under five minutes. Maybe the problem is more with big corporate banks than the technology itself?

Wait, did you really just get that fixed in five minutes? Honestly I used to be all about the big bank apps but hearing stuff like this makes me wanna switch to a credit union.

@andrew778 man that 'under five minutes' part really got me. What kind of issue was it? Like did you need them to do something specific that an app just can't handle? @graceprice I'm wondering the same thing honestly.
