Walked right into that one. My neighbor's kid told me last week that I talk to my dog like he's a cop giving me a ticket. Guess I do sound pretty serious when I'm telling him to drop the slipper. Never really thought about how I came across until a ten year old called me out. Now I'm trying to loosen up a bit, talk more like a human and less like a robot with bad news. Kids have no filter, but sometimes you need that honesty.

Right there with you. Got told by my friend's kid that I talk to my PlayStation like it owes me money. Apparently I mutter things like "you seriously gonna crash right now" when the game lags. Totally changed how I sound at home. Now I try to catch myself and just laugh it off instead of going full customer service complaint mode. Kids are basically tiny mirrors with bad timing.
