Finally saw real progress after sticking with a simple morning routine for 3 months
Honestly, I've never been a morning person, but I decided to try a basic 15 minute stretch and journal thing back in October. I didn't expect much, just wanted to stop rolling out of bed and rushing straight to work. After about a month, I noticed I wasn't hitting snooze as much, which was weird. By the two month mark, my lower back pain from standing all shift got noticeably better, like I could actually bend over without wincing. Now at three months, I actually look forward to those quiet minutes before the day starts. The before and after isn't dramatic like losing weight or anything, but my mornings feel calmer and my body hurts less. Has anyone else found a small habit that actually made a difference over time, or am I just lucky?

Man that back pain thing really hit home for me. I picked up doing a few cat cow stretches before getting out of bed and it's wild how much less stiff I feel through the day. It's one of those things where you don't realize how much you were hurting until you're not hurting as bad anymore. Sounds like you found something that works and that's a solid win.

Dude for real! I totally get what you mean about not realizing how bad it is until it gets better. I had the same thing with my neck a few years back, waking up with that awful kink. I started doing these simple chin tucks while I'm waiting for my coffee to brew. It probably looks ridiculous but it honestly made a HUGE difference. I went from dreading the first hour of my day to just popping up and moving around. It's those tiny little habits that stack up.
