Asked a stranger at a Denver bus stop for book recs and ended up with 30 pages of notes
I was waiting for the 15 bus in Denver last month and this older woman next to me was reading a thick paperback. I asked if it was good, and 20 minutes later she had filled 3 pages of my notebook with authors I never heard of. I started writing down every book anyone mentions to me now, no matter where I am, and I've read 6 of her 40 picks so far. Two were misses but one might be my favorite book this year. Does anyone else collect recs from total strangers, or is it just me being nosy at bus stops?
