The old toll booth on 101 closed and I miss the guy who always waved
Back in the 90s that little booth at the exit for Raymond had a real person who'd nod at my truck every morning, now it's just a transponder beep and a camera flash, does anyone else feel like we lost a bit of the state's character when they automated all those?

That guy waving was probably the only human interaction some folks had all day, so what exactly did we GAIN by trading that for a sensor?
