Switched from plowing my own driveway to hiring a guy in Concord last winter
I used to spend every snowstorm out there with my old Ariens snowblower, freezing my fingers off for 2 hours. Then I realized I was spending $60 a month on gas and repairs for maybe 6 storms a year. Last December I paid a local guy $40 a pop to plow my driveway and it took him 10 minutes. I got back 20 hours of my winter and didn't have to buy new shear pins every storm. Has anyone else made the switch from DIY snow removal to paying someone and regretted it or loved it?

Does anyone else think about the hidden costs though? The $240 a winter adds up fast if you have a long driveway or get a heavy season. Plus you're trusting a stranger with your property - I had a guy scrape up my asphalt last year and I had to patch it myself. And what if you need to get out early for work and they don't show up until noon? There's value in knowing you can handle it yourself anytime, anywhere, without waiting on someone else's schedule.

Not really that deep, man. You paid $240 for a winter of not freezing your butt off. Seems like a win to me.
