Stuck on 93 South for 4 hours last Tuesday - stay or bail?
I was heading home from Concord when I hit a dead stop near Hooksett. Sat there 45 minutes with GPS saying 3 more hours, so I cut over to 3A and crawled through Manchester instead. Do you guys stick it out on the highway or take back roads every time?

God, I feel you on that "stay or bail" decision. I've been in that exact spot near Hooksett more times than I can count. Taking 3A through Manchester is a solid move, but man, even that can be a slog. I usually try to wait it out on the highway if I'm already past the exit, but if it's a total dead stop and I'm close to an off-ramp, I'll bail every time. There's something about just sitting there watching your gas gauge drop that makes any back road option feel like a win.

Try the back road through Derry if you're stuck again, @paule53. It adds maybe ten minutes but you're moving the whole time, and there's a decent coffee spot off Mammoth Road if you need a break. Saved me once when the highway was pure gridlock and I was about to lose it.
