Can we talk about how fast a town changes when a new highway goes in? I said I'd never move south of Concord but here I am in Hooksett after seeing the difference.
For years I was dead set on staying north of Concord because I liked the quiet. Then last spring I drove through Hooksett again after the 93 expansion finished and saw a whole new shopping plaza and a diner with actual parking. It took about 18 months from when they broke ground to when I noticed the difference in traffic flow and local businesses popping up. The ramp improvements alone cut my commute to Manchester by 15 minutes. Has anyone else shifted their opinion on a town after road work changed the feel?

Was the diner any good or just convenient?

You're really selling the diner short with that question, @olivia_carr7. Maybe the food was just average for you, but there's something to be said for a place that's been around forever and still makes a decent cup of coffee. The breakfast special there is actually pretty solid, especially for the price you pay in this neighborhood. Not every meal has to be some trendy spot with avocado toast and a line out the door. Sometimes convenience and reliable food go hand in hand, and that's not a bad thing.
