TIL toasting rice in butter before boiling changes everything

I read someone say it on here last Tuesday and tried it with my chili lime rice, the texture got so much fluffier and nuttier, has anyone else switched to this trick for plain weeknight sides?

Oh yeah, this is literally the only way I do rice now. I started browning it in a little butter and a pinch of salt before adding water, and it comes out way better every single time, even with plain jasmine for leftovers.
