My aunt swore I was overworking my pie dough and she was right

She kept saying 'stop touching it so much' and I thought she was just being dramatic... finally let the dough rest in the fridge for 30 minutes like she said and my crust actually came out flaky for once. Anyone else get humbled by a family member's simple advice?
