Counted my spice jars last night and hit 47, which is 30 more than I actually cook with
I was reorganizing the cabinet over the stove and just for fun started counting, and somehow I have 47 jars of spices crammed in there. The wild part is I did a rough tally of what I actually reach for in a normal week and it came out to like 8, so the other 39 are just sitting there slowly turning into dust. There is a jar of cardamom back there from a recipe I made one time in 2021, and I keep moving it around the shelf like it's going to get used. I told my wife I would purge the dead ones and she just laughed, so somebody tell me where you draw the line on the spice hoard.
