Our dig in Wyoming turned up 40 arrowheads, but the weird one changed how I look at campsites
We were screening dirt from a fire pit in the Powder River Basin and pulled out a tiny obsidian point that didn't match anything else locally. Turns out the source is 700 miles west in Idaho, so whoever camped here was either trading or carrying kit across a huge distance. Has anyone else seen non-local stone way outside its normal range?
