Hit 50 site visits this year without even trying
I was looking through my field notes this morning and realized I have been to 50 dig sites in 2024. That number surprised me because I only work part time on a survey crew. Most of them are small spots like eroded creek banks or construction cuts in the Dallas area. But every one taught me something new about local geology or artifact distribution. I wonder how many visits some of you full time archaeologists hit in a busy season.

When you say "without even trying" are you counting every exposed cut bank or only sites you actually recorded?
