Why does nobody talk about how poky a pole saw feels after you sharpen it yourself
I filed the chain on my Stihl pole saw myself for the first time last weekend on a job in Dayton, and it started cutting so fast it kicked back and nicked my chaps. Tbh I think I took too much off the rakers and now it grabs instead of slicing. Anyone got a depth gauge number they swear by for a 12 inch bar, or should I just buy a fresh chain and call it a day?

Man, been there! I backed my rakers way off on a 12 inch bar and it turned into a grabby mess, so I went back to the stock .025 gauge and just touch them up light with a flat file now.
