Vent: counted 14 dead ash trees on one street in Aurora and it stopped me cold
I was doing a removal job on a side street in Aurora two weeks ago and after we dropped the tree I looked down the block and just counted. 14 ash trees, all dead or dying, all in a row. I knocked on doors for 3 of them and every homeowner said the same thing, they thought it was just this year's weather. Emerald ash borer has been in this county for a while, so if you're bidding work in older neighborhoods, walk the block before you write the estimate. Anybody else seeing whole streets get wiped out like this?
