TIL that a single oak tree can drop over 10,000 acorns in one season

I was just browsing random tree facts last night while avoiding trimming my neighbor's overgrown maple. I stumbled on this stat from the Arbor Day Foundation website. Blew my mind because I always thought oaks were lazy producers or something. Now I'm side-eyeing the giant oak in my backyard wondering how many acorns I've raked over 5 years. Has anyone else actually counted their oak's acorn output or am I just bored?

Seriously DO NOT get me started on oak trees. I spent 3 hours and filled 14 bags last fall.
