TIL a vintage pruning saw cuts cleaner than my new one

Dug it out of the shed for nostalgia. Ended up using it all week on the apple trees.

Honestly, that's a common thing with old tools. They often used tougher steel that keeps a sharp edge. Tbh, many new saws are made with cheaper stuff to save money. But it's not always true. Some new pruners work just as well if you pay more. The main thing is to keep any saw sharp, old or new.

Just keep a sharp blade, old or new.

Sharpness matters more than the steel's age.
