Spent $450 on a battery-powered chainsaw and it died on the second tree

Bought a name brand 18-inch electric saw thinking it'd save me on gas and maintenance. First big job, the battery gave out after 20 minutes of cutting. Anyone else have luck with cordless for heavy work or should I just stick to my old Stihl?

Honestly, I had the same problem until I grabbed a pair of spare batteries and just kept swapping them out while the dead ones charged. That's the only way cordless worked for me on bigger jobs.

Nah, @veramiller I gotta disagree. Spare batteries just double the headache for me. I'd rather drag a cord than worry about another set dying mid-project.

Stick a spare battery in your charger while you use the other one.
