Spent $400 on a hydraulic pole pruner and it died after 3 jobs

Bought one of those battery powered pole saws from a well known brand and the chain tensioner snapped on my 4th big oak. Anyone else have a tool that just let you down hard after spending real cash?

Did you try smacking the battery pack against a rock like I did with my leaf blower?

Yeah honestly sometimes the simplest fix works. I've given a few things a good whack and had them fire right back up.

Oh totally, @rosek44, sometimes a little percussive maintenance is all technology really needs! I swear half the stuff in my house only works because I've given it a friendly tap or shake.
