My dead hedge trimmer taught me the hard way about fuel stabilizer
Out in Redmond with a client's overgrown row of laurel, I yanked that pull cord for 45 minutes before checking the tank and finding varnish from last fall's gas, so I dumped it, ran fresh fuel with a shot of Seafoam, and it fired up on the second pull, anybody else trust the stabilizer from day one or is that just me?

Man, that varnish smell is enough to make you feel like a real dummy when it hits your nose. Fuel stabilizer is one of those things I swear by now, mostly because I've learned the hard way that fall gas goes bad faster than a weekend BBQ. These days I pour it in before I even put the machine away, and my back thanks me for not turning winter storage into an arm workout.
